99 cents!

Went to the grocery store and they had a bargain bag of apples for 99 cents, they were mainly honeycrisps, yes they were banged up and some bad spots but I figured I could dehydrate them for a healthy snack.

But they didn't all fit in the dehydrator, the dilemma now was what to do with the rest? Applesauce of course! So I made some super yummy applesauce. The small jar to the right is some homemade toothpaste I am testing out.

Maple Sugar Applesauce

4-5 cups chopped apples
1/4 cup maple syrup (the real stuff)
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup water

combine in a pan, simmer until apples are cooked and syrup is reduced, puree with stick blender and enjoy!
